Brentford have announced that they will play Town in a pre-season friendly at Griffin Park on Friday 11th July (KO 7.30pm). The Blues last played the Bees in a League Cup tie in 2004, winning 2-1 at Portman Road with Tommy Miller and Ian Westlake scoring the goals.

Town defender Chris Casement has been named in the Northern Ireland U21 squad for their European Championship qualifier in Israel on Wednesday, 6th February. Casement, who is a loan target of Stevenage Borough, has previously won eight caps at U21 level.

Town target David Norris is said to be close to formally requesting a transfer from Plymouth, according to a national newspaper. The Blues are understood to be continuing discussions with the Pilgrims regarding Norris, having had a bid turned down earlier this month.
